We took the Gold Line to the South Pasadena Farmers Market last Thursday and discovered a true gastronomic toystore for foodies. It's all about fresh produce, prepared food, juices and fresh cut flowers. Unlike a junkie flea market as is the Monrovia Farmers market, this one is the real deal. The got off at the Mission/Meridian exit and there it was. Picked up some excellent gourmet tamales at the Corn Maiden booth, some well roasted fresh corn on the cob at another stand and we shared some real good garlic fries, a Johnsonville beer brat and a hand shaken fresh squeezed lemonade at Robin's BBQ. We also like the abundent supply of organic produce available to take home. It's just a great place to take the family for a food feast every Thursday nite.
