I browned lamb stew meat with onions and garlic,and spices. Added canned tomatoes and wine and dried fruit. I put the whole thing in my slow cooker to cook for 8 to 10 hours. When I returned home I realized that I had forgotten to turn it on and the lamb was sitting out lukewarm for the last 8 hours. I was heartbroken but I dumped the whole thing in the trash -I was just too afraid of giving someone (and myself) food poisoning. Did I overreact?
