Does the food in restaurants taste better when you're in love?

With Valentine's Day around the corner, I got to thinking about 'romantic' places I've been to with various significant others in my life. It seems when we're in love/lust we seek out places that are romantic; where the food and service won't intrude. I've now re-visited many of the restaurants and bistros; either by myself or with friends. Some are still really good but...it's just not the same.

What do other 'hounds think? Is it perception, endorphins?
