Hello everyone! Apparently I'm new here and so glad I came up to this site while searching for restaurants in Rome. I hope I ,too, get some advices and recommendations from food enthusiasts like you!
Ok let's put formalities aside, my boyfriend and I are visiting Rome on Christmas for 3 nights. So that would be December 23rd to 26th. As I stated on the title we love food, special tastes and basically trying foreign cuisines and traditional food of each country/place we are visiting.
What we are looking for is ,primarily ,for a nice place to dine in on Christmas Eve and then probably (?) 3 more restaurants for the rest of the days/nights. Of course we would also like to taste some real Italian pizza and gelato.
Let me just tell you that we are Greeks thus we are demanding when it comes to food and we don't want touristy junk. Also we like price/quality/quantity (underly quantity here please as we call ourselves eaters). We also like having a table full of different dishes and not just an appetizer and a main dish.Just imagine a Greek table and you'll get the point ;)
Lastly, as far as the budget goes we would like some fine dining (which I know I have to make reservations for) for Christmas Eve and Sunday night but for the rest of the days probably around 50-80€ for both. Oh also we don't care where the place/restaurant will be as we will be renting a car so it won't be a problem.
Ps: I have already searched and read a lot of other questions/posts in here about Rome but the list is huge hence I'm confused. Please narrow down the choices for me to the top 5 or 6 restaurants (not forget the top 3 for gelato of course).
Thank you very much in advance!
