Food as a healer

I lost my husband not long ago. It has been a devasting process that I will never get over. I am 75 and to lose the dearest one in life is a horror. Food has always been a major part of my life thanks to my parents who felt the same as did my husband and fortunately my children who inherited this great passion. So, food has been my savior in part. Thanks to family and many dear friends I am blessed to go out as I always have to fabulous restaurants and dear friends homes. Also, I love having them in my home for whatever I may be cooking. What I am saying is that food, in the best way, is a wonderful healer, not totally at all but certainly a good step. Thanks to this wonderful site for helping the healing process. This may not be the exact place to issue this but I do hope that you all get the message.
