Food from Outside (Halp!)

Hello, Everyone!

I'd like to know if, given the circumstances (below) it might be possible to bake and bring some cupcakes to a kosher (Orthodox) home. I'm not confident that I'm aware of all relevant considerations, but as far as what do I know factors in, here are my questions:

- My home kitchen is not kosher, does that end the discussion?

- If I use a brand new cupcake pan, mixing bowl, spoon, etc and I use a kosher baking mix (e.g. Duncan Hines Yellow) can I use regular dairy butter (in place of vegetable oil), or does it need to be kosher dairy butter?

- If my heritage is Jewish but my daily practice is Shin Buddhist, am I getting into bishul akum territory, or does my Ashkenazi DNA keep things within bishul Yisrael parameters?

- Are there any other important things I'm missing?

Also, I would love to know some of your favorite kosher frosting recipes.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
