I'm a very recent arrival to L.A. by way of Pittsburgh PA and Oakland CA.
I miss the awesome taquerias in the S.F. mission, and the excellent "old school" warehouse district called "The Strip" in the good 'ol 'Burgh. (I have tips for any visitors to Pittsburgh, btw.)
Can someone point me to where some of the best market districts are in the Los Angeles area?
Also, I've ventured out and tried some of the taco trucks on Western. I'm looking for some good, cheap, and REAL food. Does anyone have any suggestions as to their favorites?
I'm of the philosophy that food, and looking for good food should be a quest and should lead one off the beaten path (and to personal enlightenment...).
