I've been to Flatbush Farm for drinks and some small plates but I had never been for a full dinner. What a treat
We started with the pizza with sheep's milk ricotta and figs. This was delicious and comforting. I loved that the cheese had a very slight tartness to it. We also had the rich (though slightly undersalted) pork belly. Hearty and perfect for a colder night.
The real treat though was the heirloom bean dish. I have had plenty of meat dishes less rich than this and if there was ever an ideal veggie dish for carnivores, this is it! The beans seemed to have been stewed but still maintained their texture and the harissa deepened the flavors in a really nice way.
We had beer with our meal but the wine list looked good. Any experiences with the wines there?
