How to fix a map for a restaurant listing?

nsxtasy | Mar 3, 2011 12:20 PM

EDIT - NEVER MIND! I fixed it. Apparently the mapping function was not recognizing "582 W Dussel Dr" and was placing the restaurant at a location on EAST Dussel Drive. When I edited the address to change it from "582 W Dussel Dr" to "582 West Dussel Dr", it put it in the correct place.

That also shows why it put it in the wrong place - because it couldn't recognize "W Dussel" to mean the same thing as "West Dussel". So even though I've fixed the address, the improper parsing of addresses in listings may still be a problem.

In case you are interested, I'm leaving my post below, as I originally wrote it: [END EDIT]

We have a restaurant listing in which the restaurant's address is correct, but it appears in the wrong place on the map on the listing, and on the map on any topics which link to it.

Here's the restaurant and a link to its listing:

Bangkok Kitchen
582 West Dussel Drive
Maumee, OH 43537
(419) 897-7777

It is on Dussel Drive, but it is actually WEST of Reynolds Road (US-20), almost as far west as I-475. The map incorrectly shows it EAST of Reynolds Road.

What's really weird about this is that the mapping function on Chowhound is apparently driven by Google, but if you enter the above address (or restaurant name) in Google Maps, it is shown in the correct place, not the incorrect location displayed on the map on Chowhound.

Is there any way to fix this?
