"*New* Fishermen's Farmers' Market, Every Wednesday 3pm - 7pm
Rain-or-Shine / Year-Round / Driscoll's Wharf
4900 Harbor Drive in Point Loma
(Across from Holiday Inn, next to Jimmy's)
WHAT'S THE CATCH?
Enjoy the cool breeze blowing off the water while you shop for the catch of the day; swordfish, sea urchin, rockfish, crab legs and more at the new Wednesday Fishermen's Farmers' Market at Driscoll's Wharf. Along with local fishermen and seafood from Salmon Slinger and Catalina Offshore, this new market from the folks who bring you the Little Italy Mercato, Pacific Beach Tuesday, North Park Thursday and San Diego Public Market includes lots of your favorite farmers too. Pick up ripe peaches from R&L Farms and organic greens from J.R. Organics (check out their new selection of melons too!) and grab baskets of tomatoes from Behneman Farms. Choose from Hidalgo Growers' bright fresh cut flowers, crusty Bread & Cie breads, and Bistro Blends' infused olive oils. Take home fresh chevre from Nicolau Goat Farms and hummus from Majestic Garlic or Baba Foods, and savory aioli from Epicurean Gourmet to top your fish or veggies. Enjoy the view of boats bobbing and fishermen unloading, and take in the beauty of the harbor while you savor a luscious Viva Pop. Come see what this new market has to offer! See you from 3 pm to 7 pm tomorrow and every Wednesday!"
Glad to hear of this and especially that Catalina Offshore is participating. In the fishmonger thread they were the most regarded but the warehouse hours don't work for us 8-5 people. I love the idea of this so I can hit them up.
