Fish markets selling local catches?

Josh | Aug 7, 2003 11:07 AM

This NYC 'hound is arriving in Boston tomorrow and would like to buy some fresh, locally caught fish before heading out to spend the weekend in Stow.

Sea to You and New Deal keep coming up in old threads about this subject, but there seems to be some dispute about the availability of locally caught fish.

Can anyone confirm whether these places offer fish from nearby waters or just fish flown in from afar? Are there any other fish markets around that do sell the local stuff? And if local fish is simply not available, where should I go for the best of the rest?

(I'd prefer places in or near the South Station/Chinatown area, since that's where my bus drops me off, but my ride is willing to drive a bit in search of fresh.)

Thanks.
