We bought our first real gas grill last fall and squeezed in a good month of grilling before cooler weather and shorter daylight hours set in. Poor thing has been covered and tucked away for a while, but w/ spring here and Daylight Savings ensuring sunlight into dinnertime, it will be unveiled and take center stage in our patio again very soon!
What I'm now looking for are interesting, not so typical or obvious uses for our grill. I've mastered basic grilling of burgers, pork chops, fish, veggies, etc. but am wanting to find recipes/ideas that really shine from outdoor grilling.
I'm fantasizing about making things wrapped up in banana leaves, fruit desserts, paella over the grill, thin-crust pizzettas, and anything else that takes this stereotypical throw-a-hunk-of-meat-on, guy gadget to a more "girly" and "fru-fru" level. Recipes/ideas/referrals to cookbooks much appreciated! Happy grilling to all!
