Had dinner there Saturday night. We ordered two glasses of the prosecco and a bottle of Bruenello which they were out of so they offered a wine from Montepulciano which was a nice wine at $40.00.
Fava Bean Salad Nice preparation but the beans were a bit under cooked. Being a parmesan fan I really like the combination of cheese, walnuts and EVOO. Very good parmesan here.
Burrata with Priscuitto One word WOW. This was almost a dessert the cheese was so sweet. By far the best thing had that night.
Carpaccio - Sort of bland but after the Burrata what can you expect.
Spinach Ricotta Gnocchi Average, I guess. But then Im a gnocchi snob. A little more of that great parm cheese they have would have helped. We want to try the other pastas since they looked so good going past us.
Pizza Margarita very basic, nice flavor but we thought the crust was a little too thin even for the style pizza. It had some overly burnt edges so maybe it was a little over baked.
Chocolate molton lava cake or whatever they called it A great way to end this meal. It needed a little whip cream on top to cut the chocolate we thought.
Espresso - Great
As far as service goes, it seemed a little disjointed once they got busy, but never missed a beat with us.
In all, while I had a few negative comments regarding the food, overall this place is bound to be a hit if it isnt already. Being a huge fan of A16 in the city, we are pleased to have found a place which does a nice job preparing simple dishes and is so close to home. Well be back for sure
