Fiorella's

For me the 5-star trendy thing in NOLA never really mattered, though I did enjoy some: but Fiorella's kept me alive, and so I hope the fine ladies and gents who run it are all safe and sound, with good things to eat and their loved ones close by.
Fiorella's was where I went as a newbie to the city, and I enjoyed both the market side and the little front dining room, too. Best fried chicken in the world; craziest huge chef salad in the universe; the place that taught me about red gravy and perfect pork chops and THE best potato salad I ever had.
God bless you all, restaurant owners of NOLA. I hope the little ones can bounce back and that when we come back down, we're not just met with Popeye's and other chain crap you can get anyplace. I'm also fearing for Hansen's Sno-Bliz, I got a cup from there right here on my desk, keep my pens [and great memories] in it.
I wonder where Bush ate when he went down so many times?
