PLEASE! Need Help in Finding a Nice Restaurant in DFW for a Solo Diner

Howdy Hounds!

I'm a LA 'Hound looking for a nice restaurant that I can buy a gift certificate for a friend. (I've never been to Dallas or anywhere in Texas..yet)

She's a foodie who just moved from LA to Bedford (somewhere between Dallas and Forth Worth). Her birthday is coming up, and I want to get her a gift certificate to a nice restaurant. So far, she's been dining solo. She likes all kind of food.

So my request..
PLEASE help me find a nice restaurant that has good food (of course), but also comfortable for a solo diner.

I've look through the board and found these:
Lola
York Street
Mansion on Turtle Creek
Bob's
Pappas Bros.
(Both above is better than Morton's??)

What do you think of these restaurants? I know they are supposed to be good, but I'm worry about being too stuffy or uncomfortable. Any other suggestions?

On a side note, she has been craving Indian food and have tried a few places, but haven't found anything good yet. Any suggestions?

Thank you so much!
