Help finding Japanese ingredients in US

JTpearl | May 3, 2016 07:59 PM

I've been scouring stores in NYC for a couple of japanese ingredients:
1. red rice vinegar (akazu)
2. white kelp (battera kombu)

Checked out dainobu, sunrise mart & midoriya, but no luck. Also spent a lot of time trying to find an online source that will ship to the US. Nishidori (in France) has the kelp, but not the red vinegar, and shipping to the Us is $$$$$$$$$$.

Any suggestions on where to get this stuff? Next step is to ask my local sushi shop.
