Help me find a home for my butcher block!

Shrinkrap | Jan 9, 201802:42 PM     29

Please!

I was gifted some fancy new knives, and coincidentally, a large butcher block! I never thought about one before, but I understand it's better for knives than the plastic mat I usually use, and I chop veg and bone poultry several times a week

But it's big, heavy, and high, and my husband REALLY likes the house to look like no one actually lives here. Meaning nothing on the counters. I hate to tell my sister that I want to exchange it for something smaller. She said she could just imagine it only counter. Can I make this work?
