Hi, I'm a San Francisco Chowhound getting ready to spend Thanksgiving in LA. I'm inspired to make a roast goose for the first time this year (down with the tyranny of turkey!).
Does anyone have any advice/leads on where to order a fresh goose in the area? I'm sure I could order one through the usual supermarket butcher deparments. But preferably I'd like to get closer to the actual purveyor, and have some assurance of quality. The more natural/organic the better, but mainly I'm just looking for the tastiest goose I can find in the LA area.
Hopefully I'm allowing enough time before Thanksgiving... Thanks for any help you can offer!
