First, a confession, I am not a great cook. I'm slowly learning step by step, one dish at a time. For awhile, I started with the Blue Apron baskets. It included some really good bread that will grill easily ---crunchy on the outside still chewable inside. Not something that hardens to a brick or so flaky it crumbles. I have searched and searched and none of the local breads are right (limited area). So, I guess I'm baking bread. Anyone have a good beginning recipe for Italian bread for sub sandwiches? I'm assuming a nice Italian bread. I want it to grill well without going super hard and inedible. I have never baked bread from scratch but what the heck, you only live once.
