In the early 90's I used to be able to walk into coffee shops, which actually sold beans they roasted, and get certain coffees that had not been roasted until they were dark brown or black. I would really love to get my hands on some good lightly roasted java beans, which produce a deliciuos slightly spicy reddish brown coffee. I'd also love lightly roasted Sumatra, which produce a light brown (like the Mississippi Rive color) coffee that is thicker thatn other beans (almost syrupy). Since certain chains have set up shop on street corners all over the United States, it has become impossible to find any beans that have been just lightly roasted. Does anybody have an idea.
