where to find chestnuts?

cakebaker | Nov 22, 2004 10:38 AM

Anyone know of where in SF (preferably near the Sunset or Richmond districts) I can find good, inexpensive chestnuts? I'm thinking in particular of the small chestnuts that are used for sugar-roasted Chinese chestnuts. I'm looking for the raw ones that I can roast myself, but thoughts on roasted ones (other than Chinatown) would be great, too.

Thanks!
