Finally Found Good Korean BBQ in the Valley: Pine Tree Inn, Northridge

Fellow Korean barbecue hounds:

After searching high and low for alternatives to Koreatown quality Korean barbecue in the Valley, I finally found a comparable place in Northridge. I highly recommend Pine Tree Korean BBQ those who love the Q but don't relish the Hollywood Freeway and Western Avenue on a weekend night. It's located at on 8322 Reseda Boulevard, Northridge, CA 91324, the corner of Reseda and Roscoe.

We went on a Friday night and found it busy but not terribly crowded. It wasn't too large, too small and not too smoky.

We ordered the standbys, Bulgogi and Kalbi. Both were excellent, though the panchan was only average. The meat was of excellent cut and quality. The service was adequate, if not friendly.

The total price with tip was about $50 for two people, comparable or less than some place like. Sa Rit Gol or Chosun Galbi, It's not posh, but it's definitely good eats.

Here's a link to scans of their menu:
