Restaurants & Bars 15

finally tried EL SOL

EMQ | Jul 1, 2005 11:34 AM

Took family to El Sol last night. It was not busy and we were able to get a table for five right away.We all loved the decor...very colorful!
Fans and open doors were nice, but it was HOT inside.
Ordered drinks and guacamole right away...good margarita..(I HATE bar mix).Kids had non-alch. pina colada's which were yummy. Guacamole was good..chips were ok..we tried to order a bit of everything..(2 kids are vegetarians)We were all disappointed in meals.
Pollo con mole was dried out. Camerones were a bit tough..and for $18..a bit of a stingy serving.Nachos were fair, and empanada meal was saved only by it's side salad. Favorite dish was veggie quesedilla.
Service was good, until we wanted the bill...then the staff seemed to vanish..ah, well.conclusion.We are a family still in search of a favourite Mexican place
