Did the round trip again yesterday from Brooklyn, CT to Brooklyn, NY back to Brooklyn, CT. Stopped at DiFara's for lunch at around 12:30. It was quiet but the locals were stopping in to get their favorites. Dominick was making the pizza. Yes! My companion ordered two slices of the plain pizza and I ordered the artichoke. The plain was ready immediatly because Dominick just pulled out a fresh pizza from the oven. My artichokes had to fry so I waited. Of course, I shared bites of the plain pizza which was really very good. But my artichoke slice was outstanding. The crust was crunchy, the sauce was wonderful, but there was something about adding the artichokes to the pizza that made it taste better than the plain. My companion had the zeppole (sp)which I had never had before. It was delicious. All in all, thanks for sending us there. I wish I had ordered two slices but there is always next time.
PS I loved that Dominick has fresh rosemary among other herbs in his front window.
