Filippino Fish Balls?

BobbyCT | Mar 24, 2005 03:32 PM

My wife is originally from the Philippines and loved to eat something called "fish balls".As I understand it is simply fish rolled into balls and fried. She has had a craving for them for years and I figured if anyone knew where to find them in Manhattan it would be someone on the Chowhound board. I have checked both Krystals and Elvies Turo, the 2 Philippine restaurants that I know of,as well as Cendrillon, and they don't sell them.Has anyone heard of this food and know where they might be sold? I will admit that I know very little about Southeast Asian food,so maybe it can be found in a Vietnamese or Malaysian restaurant?I would love to surprise her. Thanks!
