For those like me who grew up in the '60s, I remember very well that pizza had a distinctively different taste and smell than the blander type now common. I used to get mine at Ferro's on the boardwalk at Coney Island, about three blocks from the end by Seagate (around the corner from the YMHA). Very different taste, and it seemed to be universal back around the time I first had it around 1960, 1961. Anyone agree with me that current pizza is blander? And does anyone know where I can get similar pizza today?
