Feedback on Indian in ABQ

Hi all -

Having posted before requesting information on Indian food in ABQ, I thought I'd give some feedback as we explore them all.

Where we've been so far:

India Palace - Cute atmosphere (if you don't mind seeing the Chuck E. Cheese outside your window) and excellent service. The chutneys were not so fresh., though. Excellent naan! Our dinner itself was really pretty good, considering it's not Devon Ave in Chicago. I was impressed... until the next day.

Something from India Palace did NOT agree with us. We ate Indian at least twice a week in Chicago, so it's not just ethnic ramp-up time. Something was not right there.

I recommend shopping at their fabulous grocery store and making your own at home!

Annapurna Vegetarian - I hear this is the latest hippie craze so I had to go check it out. Intimate funky atmosphere. Filled with bourgeous bohemians. The chai tea was a little too sweet for my taste -- I suspect they "Westernized" the recipe. As for the food -- mine didn't come out until I asked one of owners (I think the cousin of the actual owner) at which point he very graciously apologized and brought it out.

My recommendation here is not to go during the main lunch or weekend brunch hour or you will have to stand in line. It's definitely worth a trip during the quieter hours. You'll enjoy a peaceful atmosphere and food prepared lovingly.

Yet to try (and I hear we've saved the best for last):
