What is your favorite restaurant around JP/Dorchester/Newton/W.Roxbury area

I LOVE trying new restaurants and I'm looking for recommendations to a place that you've been to or heard about, that has a nice bar and has a welcoming feel.

I'm single and want to go to a place that I will feel comfotable at while sitting alone at the bar.

Last Sat I tried Abby Park in Milton. The bar was nice and had a comfortable feel and after going there, I realized it was all due to the Patrons and not the staff. The bartendar was friendly at first as he seemed to know the older woman sitting next to me but as soon as they left, he made his way over to the locals? and completely ignored my side of the bar. Not once did he ask me if I needed anything or ask how my food was. Thanks to the bar back guy, I was able to get some salt and pepper.
The food was just ok, I had the Scallops Wrapped in Bacon, which I LOVE ...BUT there wasn't enough bacon on the plate to wrap around one Scallop, but the Scallops were huge and if you are a Scallop lover, you will be happy with the portion size. I also had the Short Rib Panini, again, not impressed. There wasn't enough short rib in there to make a sandwich, the bread was a folded pita bread and the hand cut french fries were far from hand cut, I think they were previously frozen and came from a bag..The wine list was good and I'm a HUGE fan of dessert but after my dissatisfying meal, I decided to skip the sweets.
