FWIW, I made a subtle change to our group-edited spreadsheet to add markets to our list of San Diego favorites. So if you're so inclined check out the latest spreadsheet at https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?k...
There already were markets listed amongst the list of restaurants anyway, so this is just to acknowledge that markets are part of our growing list. You'll note that now the Farmer's Markets are listed together (under 'F') for ease of use.
...and if you're brave enough to edit a group-edited spreadsheet and wish to add your own entries, click on "Contribute to this Document" in the upper-left, place your CH handle at the top of an empty column, and type (carefully) away!
As to adding businesses, it does take a bit of care, which mainly amounts to making sure you do an Insert Row operation. But first make sure that the business is not listed under a different name or word ordering first. (e.g.: Farmer's Market, Little Italy Mercato vs. Little Italy Mercato vs. Little Italy Farmer's Market, etc.) Also make sure you add your entry in alphabetical order, and please do identify the location under the 2nd column as well.
If your edit goes wrong and you need to back out, just hit CTRL-Z to undo your changes. There is also extensive revision control in Google Docs, so if you post your issue on this thread, I'll get around to taking a look at it...
BTW you should also see a tab at the top for a "Word Cloud". This tab takes you to a word cloud that is generated off of the entries in the spreadsheet. The relative size of each word relates to the frequency by which the word is mentioned within the spreadsheet. Clicking on a specific word will take you to the search results for the word on the San Diego CH board.
