My candy thermometer has lost its little clip that allows you to attach it to the side of the pan. I'm going to be trying fried chicken soon, and need to replace it. I'd love to find a thermometer that would work in both a shallow pan and in a deeper one, but I suspect I'm unlikely to find one. Are there thermometers specifically made for frying?
