i just recently went back to fassica ethiopian restaurant in culver city, thinking that i might not be in the area much longer...and i loved it all over again!
i was with first-time-to-ethiopian dining companions, so we got the combination platter again as a comprehensive intro to ethiopian food. not only was there a ton of food, but every single thing was delicious.
ok, actually, i am not a huge fan of DORO WOT, the thick, spicy chicken stew, as i think other things are better.
i love the GOMEN WOT - chopped stewed collard greens, all of the lentils, and the ATKILIT ALICHA - a mild mix of cabbage, carrots, and potatoes. i can't remember which meats were which, but i do know that the beef (TIBS?) that was the spiciest offering on the platter, was my favorite.
just wanted to share. i loved it the first time. i loved it again. :)
