I am an old-fashioned southern country boy and I am so disgusted with the flavorless, "dry" (as in ABSOLUTELY fat-free) meat products being called breakfast sausage nowadays. It sickens me that you actually have to add oil to the pan to keep it from sticking when cooking this stuff because there is no natural fat in the meat! As I am sure you CH's know, FAT is Flavor! At least up here in Northern Maine, you just CAN NOT get anything that tastes like the sausage that I enjoyed in my younger days. So I need a good recipe so I can make my own Sage-based country-style breakfast sausage. Any suggestions?
