Excellent Falafel, Mid-Eastern Food --- Millburn...
Pita on Essex
182 Essex Street
Millburn, NJ 07041
Check out the menu:
More unusual dishes, large portions, reasonable
prices. Restaurant very clean.
We had the Turkish Bourekas as an appetizer. I had never heard of those before. Was great. Served with tahini that was somehow very light, yet perfectly tasty.
Had the Essex Combo Platter - all excellent
And, had the Beef Shawarma, over couscous. Just
excellent. Couscous was made with some fresh
roasted vegetables. Never had couscous that tasted that good, or even close.
A bunch of interesting dishes on the menu that I had never heard of, including:
Kofta, Shaksusha, Sabich, Malawach, and Masbaaha
And the pita was the best pita I ever tasted.
So much better than just a local falafel place, by
leaps and bounds.
