what happens when you go to a restaurant that is "famous" for something and you don't eat the "famous"?
customer: "hey, this steak tastes like shoe leather."
waiter: "hey, we're famous for ribs!"
should it be required that someone in the party have the "famous" before a review is written?
four of us went to a restaurant on roosevelt road last night that said it was "famous for ribs" and nobody ordered the ribs (between elmhurst and oak park i saw at least seven such boasts about ribs). as we left the restaurant the chatter was light and no one was remarking how remarkable the food was. there were three doggie bags and i'm pretty sure all of the food contained in those bags was indeed going home to the dogs.
our fault for not ordering the ribs?
the food wasn't terrible, just okay, i'd give it two tums...
i'll pass on the name after i've had their ribs...
