My parents like to throw a little farewell dinner in a restaurant before their annual return to Florida for the winter. Inevitably, my mother chooses Buca di Beppo for some reason I can't fathom (she may finally be losing her grip). It may be the atmosphere or the fact that a large group (15+/-) is easily accommodated there. I can't handle the overdone, pasty "food" and thought there HAS to be a better option in the area (they live near Guthrieville in the summer). Any ideas are gratefully accepted! We don't have to have Italian food, but that seems to be most acceptable to the large age range of the diners involved (10 months to 80 years old). Also a BYO place is OK but liquor is not essential (at least, not until I get home from this shindig!!). Thanks!
