I bought six gigantic cream puffs from a new grocery store that opened up about couple months ago. I could tell from the color that it was plain whipped cream.. no custard ;(
Still, i was craving some sweets and bought six for my family.
I hurried back home so that whipped cream won't melt..
Excitedly, i took a big bite..
It did not taste like whipped cream made out of fresh heavy whipping cream and sugar..
First of all, the cream was not cold and didn't melt at all..
Texture was different..
Kind of tasted like good old whipped cream but very artificial..
I've heard of whipped cream made with gelatins for stabilizer..
Is this what i had?
Or what is this "whipped cream" made out of??
