Fage yogurt price drop: Any reason?

bhaaskar | Sep 16, 2011 11:05 AM

I noticed that in the LA area, Fage greek yogurt prices have fallen recently. These are not the sale prices, but just the regular prices. Trade Joe's used sell the 7oz cups for $1.89 a few months ago, now they are $1.50.Costco used to sell a kilo of the non-fat kid for about $6.50, now it is $5.19. Even at Sprouts, it is cheaper than it is used to be a few months ago. This week Ralphs has it on sale for $1 for 70z. I did not notice a drop in the price of milk and neither did a drop in the quality of the yogurt.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas about the price drop.

Thanks.
A.
