I ordered 5 different W&S cookie types through the 52 Shop, and i have just now sampled a few of them. For now, i can say I am very psyched to find this terrific product line.
The Fennel and Olive Oil are my favs so far because the texture is very fragile/sandy seductive and the amount of fennel flavor is perfect. While I feel guilty dissing a product made in my home state of MA, the Lark fennel cookies are a 3 (tough and hard) compared with W&S which are a 10.
The Chocolate Orange Cardamom has a great depth in the cocoa presence, and the orange notes are lovely. I only wish there were more cardamom flavor (2nd most expensive spice, after Saffron.)
The Earl Grey sandwich cookies are o.k. but are harder than the others and don't have enough Earl Grey flavor imo. (Biscotea makes an Early Grey shortbread that is fantastic.)Chocolate Chipotle Caramel sandwich cookies are terrific- deep cocoa of the cookies; subtle caramel comes through i the filling; and you def get the chipotle kick at the end.
Great cookies , mail order or not, are rare indeed, but these W&S folks are really getting it right. And transit-wise, my order was well packed and all arrived intact, and promptly.
