Well I spent the weekend in the Springs, Easthampton.
I rode out dreaming about a dinner cooked by Sylvia
Carter at Max's in Riverhead, but when I stepped off
the train it was short work for my wife to convince me
we didn't want to drive for at least 1/2 hour each way
in service of dinner. So instead we had pizza at a shop
on Springs-Fireplace Road; to my surprise it was really
excellent pizza. The crust was crispy on the bottom but
thick enough to be chewy as well. Sauce, cheese and
toppings were present in the correct proportions. Also
I tried something called Eggplant Rotellini(sp?), which
I had never had before and which rocked! It made me
think of (sort of) a savory cannoli. Pasta salad was
also good, though Ellen thought it was a bit dry.
