This evening my husband and I went for a nice relaxing dinner down at the waterside restaurant Kingston's Clambar. Upon entering we were quickly greeted by the staff members that were on duty and were told we may sit where we would like and would be followed with menus. The waitress promptly brought us menus and took our drink order to get us started.
Since this is the night before a big holiday weekend, we were looking for low key and it seems to have started out perfctly. My husband ordered the mozzarella sticks and I the crab cakes. The crab cakes were to dye for, and the sauce served with the sticks was out of this world. When asked, we were told everything was homemade and I believe it. After the apps, the chefs were very accommodating, since my husband is not a seafood lover, and were able to make him a filet mignon and rib combo. He ate every last bite on his plate, including the fries. I had ordered the tilapia with honey glaze sauce, and it was moist and light, the perfect evening meal.
The portions are hearty and left us no room for dessert, but I promise one thing, we will be back and we will try their desserts also. If the first and second course are any indication of what dessert tastes like, then we will be in heaven.
All in all the experience was great and we will be back. We have heard the wait can sometimes be lengthy, but after tonight's meal, it is well worth it! Keep up the good work Kingston's!
