Excellent Hunan in Danville

Key Lime Guy | Sep 6, 200312:29 AM

Apologies in advance for being short on details... I'm not local and just passing through. (this is not a full review, but just a heads-up based on one visit)

There is a place - I don't have the name - off of Crow Canyon Bl., east of the 680, in a strip mall with a Kinkos next to a Burger King. Somebody help me out here.

I ordered Hunan Fish and it was just brilliant. Really nice substantial pieces of whitefish, cod I guess, lightly battered & fried golden, and served in a most savory brown sauce, superbly spiced, with onions. I'm happy just remembering it.

The place was full with regulars at 2pm on a weekday. The service was excellent.

The menu also included a lot of dim sum items.
