I know there's a joke about buying green bananas, but I still AM young enough to buy green bananas - except maybe the ones I got last Sunday (eight days ago). I try to buy some almost ripe and some green when I shop, in the hopes of keeping some around during the week to feed the grazing sharks that are my dear ones. But these bananas - are now just the slightest bit pale at the end, but you couldn't even say yellow, just paler green.
What can I do to hasten this process? Or is there something you can use green bananas for??
