While spending a few days in Joliet, my sis and bro-in-law took me to this gem.
I am not so sure about the Europa name - it seemed mostly Polish to me. There is a small grocery with all types of canned and packaged goods, Vodkas, brandies, snacks and candies.
Then in the back, there is a deli counter with delicious homemade salads, potato pancakes, cheese blintzes to die for, meats to slice, fresh breads, Polish cheeses and sausages. All at very reasonable prices.
The woman at the deli counter didn't speak much English, and everyone but us who came in spoke Polish.
There is a coffee place next door with tables outside so we got drinks and made a picnic of our purchases.
Look for the picture of Pope John Paul II in the window.
