Here in Baltimore, 'tis the season for ethnic festivals. For example, this weekend I hit the St. Anthony festival at St. Leo's church in Little Italy (guys - what's with the festival closing up like a ghost town at 8 PM on a Saturday night? Somebody have a curfew????) followed by a run down Eastern to the Greek Festival at St. Nicholas Church - those folks in Greektown are probably STILL going on from last night!
Anyway, I would imagine that for most festivals, the food ranges from "OK" to the sort of secret gems that have those in the know waiting all year for some special treat.
