Has anyone else been to Esperanto on Ave C?

My husband and I went this past Friday night. We'd been before (a year ago) with a huge party of people and their food is actually pretty good with good prices.

But this time, I had the worst meal in my life...which is to say, we got no meal. 30 minutes after we'd ordered nothing had come so my husband asked our waitress to check on our food. She just went away and didn't come back... until 10 minutes later when she asked us if we would like another drink, to which my husband said, "I'd like to get some food before I order another drink." And the waitress again just walked away...

Another 10 minutes goes by (it had been 50 minutes since we ordered by this point) and the table that had been sat on the other side of us around twenty minutes after we'd ordered now had their order along with another party seated at the other end of our table also having been seated after us.

I stopped the waitress and told her very politely about the other tables getting their food while we had ordered first and still hadn't been served anything. She walked away and came back to tell us, "Oh, the kitchen just told me that there is no more carne asada, you'll have to order something else." I couldn't believe that I had been waiting an hour to be told that my entree wasn't available and I'd have to order something else!

We just informed her that we were outraged and she could cancel our order (if it had ever been placed) we were leaving. She chased after us saying that we had to pay for our drinks (two mojitos added up to $12) to which my very hungry and irate husband said to her, "you've got to be kidding." And then the waitress waved the manager over to whom the incident was explained with the waitress constantly saying, "it's not my fault, it's not my fault." and the manager telling us, "fine, if it makes you feel better, she'll have to pay for it.".... I just looked at her incredulously and my husband was already furiously about to say something else when the manager ended the conversation with another "fine". And Chris and I left.

I was so angry because both the waitress and the manager's attitude goes so completely against my idea of how you treat customers.
