I was thrilled to find 1 pound of prosciutto in the deli case at my supermarket . It was marked 50% off . So thinking that I was getting the deal of the century I bought it . When I got home I realized why it was on sale . It would seem that the deli worker sliced prosciutto way to thickly at it was as tough as beef jerky. Anyone have any ideas on how I can save this meat? I was thinking about chopping it in my food processor mixing with some cheese sun-dried tomatoes and artichokes and using as a stuffing for chicken breasts or chops.
I am certainly open to any suggestions. Thanks in advance.
