Enzo's in the Bronx

My friends and I had a delicious dinner at Enzo's on Williamsbridge Road at Neill Avenue. It's in the Morris Park section of the Bronx. Arthur Avenue usually attracts more visitors but you won't regret a visit to Enzo's. We had eggplant rollatini as an appetizer. Perfectly sliced with no skin and it was filled with a creamy ricotta. The house salad was crisp and fresh. I had rigatoni bolognese which is made with ground veal, finely diced carrots and onions in a tomato sauce with a touch of cream. It was one of the best bolognese sauces I have ever tasted. They don't skimp on the meat and the portion size is generous. My friend had one of the evening's specials named Chicken Marco Polo which was a generous portion of boneless chicken breasts stuffed with broccoli rabe, prosciutto, and mozzarella. Forget the diet and order the potato croquettes as a side dish. They were perfectly browned outside and seasoned inside. They were crisp, not mushy. If you have room for dessert try the Italian cheesecake or tiramisu. The coffee cups are European style in that they are small and you can't fit your fingers in the handle so they will bring you another cup at no charge. Staff and service were excellent. Good wine list.
