I had a really nice birthday dinner at Enotecca San Marco at the Venetian this weekend. I wanted something that was reasonably priced with lots of vegetarian options for my diverse group of friends. We got lucky on both! What I liked: sharing lots of small things is the emphasis of the menu (great shaved brussels sprouts, beets, broccolini, and cauliflower), perfectly al dente pasta in the simple northern Italian style (loved the pureed cauliflower w/ crushed red pepper on rigatoni), and a waitress with what can only be described as fabulous attitude! We got a great lesson in the "right" way to drink grappa, as well as strong opinions about the wine list and various pairings. We paid less than $50/pp too! The only downside was that they wouldn't seat us until all of the party had arrived, even though we told them we would go ahead and start ordering because they would be arriving on delayed flights.
