Emle's Restaurant-Northridge

Dave Gee | Feb 16, 200605:22 PM

After seeing an earlier post here my wife and I decided to try this new restaurant. Needless to say we were happy with our new discovery.

We have had two dinners and one breakfast so far. I have ordered a delicious crab cake appetizer. Much to my surprise it came with a medium size serving of mashed potato which made it almost enough food to fill me up. I had a soup of the day-chicken, rice and vegetable soup which was very delicious and unlike any soup I have had. I can't place the exact spices in this soup. We had the lamb shanks and filet mignon both of which seem to be a house specialty and perfect in every way. For desert we have had a delicious creme brulee which I know was made in house. Breakfast has been the decadent french toast made in a special batter unlike no other. It came with a syrup with cloves which made the flavor stand out. They are known for their french toast from their restaurant in Carmel. If you have been to Carmel then you have probably seen this french toast in the window of their other restaurant. We have also had the eggs benedict which was prepared perfectly.

Outside of the garlic bread which was too buttery and the very strong coffee my wife and I really liked this restaurant. They aim to please. They offer a wide variety of food at very low prices. Please tell Nick the owner you saw the posting at CH.

Emle's is at 9250 Reseda Blvd across from A&W Seafood and Mandarin Deli. No website yet. Their phone number is 818-772-2203. Open 7am-9pm every day.
