Emilia Romagna Two day itinerary help

tummyache | Sep 1, 201706:53 AM     7

Hi,

My girlfriend and I will have a weekend in the E-R region (with car) after coming from Venice (going for Bienale). Based on recommendations from the board, we are planning to stay Friday night at La Buca and Saturday night at Da Ivan with a lunch at Antica Corte Pallavicina on Saturday afternoon. Looking for advice for what to do on the way from Venice to Zibello. Options we are considering: going to see the frescoes in Padua, walking around Mantova and lunch there, or checking out either Bologna or Modena before heading to the countryside. We've tried for reservations at Giusti and Osteria Francescana in Modena but haven't heard back. We've also read about Da Amerigo on these boards and thought about that for Friday lunch. Any strong opinions welcomed!
